VALUE AND SUSTAINABILITY FOR EVERY CLIENT
Our customers include: project developers, engineering firms, firms in the construction industry, (semi) governments, archaeological institutions, universities and environmental organisations.
Our goal is not focused on discovering archaeological finds, but an inter-disciplinary view on solving our client’s problems and dealing with cultural heritage in a responsible and modern way is central at this firm. EARTH thus provides added value for both the customer and a sustainable society.
EARTH’s fast and reliable archaeological risk analysis provides insight without digging. Project developers and builders are often required to do archaeological research before developing new projects. Through the use of high-quality risk analysis uniquely developed by EARTH, the scope of the risk becomes very clear in terms of time and money. Among other benefits is that our analysis can limit the need for expensive digging.
By involving EARTH early in your project, you as a client will have clarity on the project’s environment sooner rather than later. Together we minimise the chance of unwanted archaeological surprises, so that problems in planning and project delays can be prevented. If it appears that an archaeological site is present and needs to be preserved, EARTH has all the necessary expertise and technology to help you preserve heritage in accordance with legal requirements.
We facilitate in the interaction and teamwork between the project, archaeology and the relevant authority. Your ultimate benefit is a smoother, faster and more cost-effective project.
Fast and reliable archaeological prospection with social relevance. EARTH carries out projects for various government institutions in the Netherlands and abroad. The entire EARTH product portfolio is aimed at offering (semi) government institutions a total package. This means you can come to us for the entire spectrum of archaeological research , for example, policy advice, physical conservation, landscape research and complete risk analysis that provide insight to the question whether a certain area is suitable for the development of a residential area, business park and / or infrastructural project.
EARTH’s interdisciplinary elaboration translates post-excavation into a landscape and socially relevant context. The network of EARTH within archeology is wide. We work closely with our internal and external specialists and we can take care of all occurring investigations and the additional elaboration for the customer. It is unique that EARTH carries out a large proportion of these investigations in-house. With this we guarantee quality and a fast lead time.
EARTH has close ties with both research universities in the Netherlands and international universities . These universities offer EARTH the scientific back-up that is required for this research. Many of our employees are affiliated with universities and colleges in Amsterdam, Groningen, Leiden, Deventer, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, York and Upsala. Here we provide lectures and presentations.
Curiosity and knowledge go hand in hand and characterise the professional researcher. We believe investing in research is of great importance to bring archaeology to a higher level. As well as constantly developing our services.
Nature organisations play a major role in the conservation and reconstruction of the landscape. Based on our expertise in landscape research and reconstruction, EARTH is an evident partner who can provide insight into both archaeological heritage and landscape development. Consider, for example, the integration of historical landscapes and archaeological sites and the implementation of in-situ conservation. After the landscape has been mapped, a plan of action can be constructed in which, for example, the physical preservation of archaeological remains or the adaption of an archaeological location in the planning are arranged.
